Hüseyin Kurucan, an 83-year-old retired metalwork teacher in Denizli, retired 36 years ago. Kurucan, who set up a small iron workshop, designed and patented the 'Smart Table' six years ago, combining his experience and knowledge. Kurucan, who started producing smart tables, made his first export to Denmark and has now started exporting to Bulgaria. Kurucan explained that the smart tables he produces, which are wheeled and made of first-class MDF, have a hydraulic system, and when closed are 60 centimeters, but when opened with a single movement reach a width and length of 1 meter and 20 centimeters. He said, "I retired in 1985 and have been running these businesses for 36 years. I started with a tent and now I produce smart tables, and I have also patented them. We also make sales on our websites. This year, they chose me as Denizli's Ahilik master. I am running this business even though I am 83 years old, and I will continue to do so."

Kurucan stated that the table is useful and that he also exports it abroad, saying, "As long as God grants me life. I try to be useful to myself and my surroundings. I provide the necessary support to my employees. This is how I lead my life. I sent a batch abroad to Denmark and also to Bulgaria. The smart table's dimensions are 60 by 120, and when opened, it is 120 by 120. It can be adjusted to any desired height. Up to 10 people can eat around it. It can generally be used as a dining table, coffee table, and even an ironing board. Even if you iron, there will be no warping or breaking in the wood. I designed this table 6 to 7 years ago and patented it."
